“So a few months back I was in a very dark place and wanted to give up with life for many different reasons, however I never give up and i kept going. I was really over weight at the time to I was 17.6 Stone and I knew I had to do something about this weight the way I feel and the way I looked. ” The GC has been life changing for me. There have been so many benefits. Physically and mentally. Undoing years of ‘diet culture’ and an unhealthy relationship with food is one of the biggest. I eat loads, considering I’ve been in a ‘deficit’ for some time now. Yes sometimes I have made choices based on my goals but on the whole nothing is ‘bad’ or off limits. Everything in moderation! My children have also got to witness this which I think is incredible. They see me enjoying food but they also see me exercising will power and saying no sometimes. ”I wasn’t in a great place both physically and mentally after the first lockdown. I had ballooned to over 17 stone. My wife had asked me if I would support her and do this with her. I reluctantly agreed. Been one of the best decisions I have made. Dan’s diet plans really did blow my mind and completely change the way look at food. Being a chef that was no mean feat! The ever developing daily exercise routines he does with his fiancée Jamie are superb, they engage with great advice and banter and they genuinely amuse. I could barely do 5 press ups when I first started and there was no way I was dragging my self up to do Burpees! I have now whittled myself down to just over 14 stone, feel fitter, healthier and look younger (apparently) I can also smash out Burpees. Contrary to popular opinions Dan is not a wizard but he does give you the tools to help you help yourself, something I will be eternally grateful for. “
